William "Bill" Gordon Lytle, of Metairie, LA was born on March 10, 1969 in Metairie, LA, to the late Andrea Delatte Lytle and the late Billy Lytle. He passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the age of 48. He graduated from East Jefferson High School and attended the University of New Orleans. Bill will be remembered for his ethical approach to his work and he was well-liked by his coworkers, customers, and employers.  He had great compassion for others.  During his Aunt Marie’s lengthy illness, he offered much of his time and aid and was with her throughout.  He loved to discuss politics, enjoyed reading, and had a broad knowledge which he employed at a weekly Trivia competition with friends at a local restaurant.  William was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joseph Gordon Delatte; his grandmother, Florine Becker Delatte and aunt, Marie Delatte. He is survived by his uncles: Joe Delatte, Thomas Delatte, Stephen Delatte, Keith Bernard Sr. and Sherman Brown; his aunts: Marcia Delatte Daigre, Marianne Delatte Bernard, Missy Delatte-Brown, Gale Delatte and Patrice Delatte. He also leaves behind his cousins: Eric Daigre, Tim Daigre, Monique Starkey Delatte, Rachel Bezdek, Keith Bernard Jr., Sarah Cavallo, Scott Delatte and numerous friends. He is also survived by his loving cat, Julie.
A service will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Dr. in Metairie, LA (504) 833-3786. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am with a Memorial Mass at 1:00 pm with burial following in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Masses are preferred or donations to the SPCA.
