I learned what I know about the vestibular system from Doctor Rubin during my otolaryngology residency at Tulane/Ochsner from 1980-1984. He was a wonderful teacher and a superb clinician. He kept unusual office hours, catering to those whose hours were atypical. R.I.P. Wally.

I was a patient of Dr. Rubin''s for many years. He taught me so much and was so generously there for me. He was innovative and interesting and always lightened up my mood when i was feeling bad. He was an important part of my life and I''m thankful for knowing him.

Dear Rubin Family: Dr. Rubin holds a special place in my heart. At 5 years old, he was the only physician who found out what my hearing problem was. I proceeded to see him occasionally until I was well into my 40's. I am living in Northeast Texas now but want you all to know he and you will be in my thoughts and prayers during this trying time. Please accept my deepest condolences and hold him in your heart forever because he was indeed a very, very special person. Dr. Rubin may you rest in peace as you have been a soldier of the Lord .many times over Sincerely, Diane K. Boudreaux
