Aubrey St. Romain passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Cheryl St. Romain. Loving father of Stephen St. Romain (Kim), Bryan St. Romain (Trudy), Jamie St. Romain Alford (Jonathan) and his step-children, Shelley Stauder and Jill Stauder. Beloved brother of Yvonne S. Morise. He was a proud grandfather and affectionately known as “Paw-Paw Oob” to Joshua St. Romain, William Nichols, Lauren St. Romain, Aidan St. Romain, Avery St. Romain, Jonathan Alford, Jr. and Aubrey Grace Alford. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Aubrey was born in Plaucheville, LA and was a resident of River Ridge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecilia Barbe St. Romain and Vance St. Romain; his stepson, David Stauder, Jr. and a nephew, Jeff Morise. Aubrey touched all who knew him with his unselfishness, compassion and humor.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the service on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am with a Funeral Mass following at 1:00 pm. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to Animal Rescue New Orleans, 271 Plauche Street, New Orleans, LA 70123 or a charity of your choice are preferred.
