Judy Horton Bonano passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at home with her family by her side. She is survived by her beloved husband of forty-four years, Mikel G. Bonano, Sr. She was a cherished mother to her three children: Lisa Bonano, Michelle Bonano Brennan (Andrew), and Mikel G. Bonano, Jr. (Julie). Proud Nana of Noah Brennan, Evelyn Brennan, Gabriel Brennan, Rosalie Bonano, William Bonano, and Julian Bonano. Sister of Fred Horton, Diane Hayes, Doris Lowe and also survived by other beloved family members. She was born in New Orleans and lived in Metairie for most of her life. Judy enjoyed working in the family business with her husband and son, but her proudest and happiest moments were those shared with her six grandchildren and family. She also adored making memories and laughing with her friends. The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 1:00 pm at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 4921 West Metairie Ave., Metairie, LA 70001 with visitation beginning at 11:00 am at the church.
