Henry Munson Pearce, Jr passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 5, 2017 at the age of 94 yr.  Henry was born and raised in New Orleans MidCity neighborhood.  He graduated Warren Easton in 1941 and attended LSU before signing up with the Army Air Force in WWII, where he was a navigator on B-17s in the Eight Air Force, stationed in England.  Henry retired from the USDA in 1986.  Henry was passionate about many things, among them motorcycles, photography, and planes. He was an avid photographer, enjoyed traveling to 379th Bomb group reunions, and served as the 8th Air Force 379th Bomb Group historian for many years. Henry is preceded in death by his parents Munson & Annie, and his wife, Rheba.  Henry is survived by a daughter Kathy Metzler (Paul), a son, Henry Munson Pearce, III known to his family and friends as Hank, the grandchildren, Robert & John Paul Metzler and Gabrielle Pearce.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at the Garden Of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA. and the visitation will begin at 12:00 pm until service time.
