Dorothy (Dot) Breaux Leonard of Metairie, LA passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the age of 94. She was the beloved wife of the late Alvin J. Leonard, Sr. Dot was the mother of Myra LaCava (Melvyn), Mary Trahan (Arthur), Joyce L. Sarniguet (Bob), Alvin J. Leonard, Jr. (Carolyn), Bobby J. Leonard and Don M. Leonard (Dedra). Also survived by her sisters, Gloria Fanguy and Cecile Lantagne; 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adam E. Breaux and Mable Trahan Breaux and her siblings, Arthur Breaux, Irene Bonvillain, AJ Breaux, Eddie Breaux and Beatrice Tayne. Dot was a member of the St. Jude Society of Metairie, a friend to everyone and was loved by all she spent time with, especially at the beauty shop. She will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at St. Mary Magalen Church, 6425 West Metairie Ave. in Metairie, LA from 9:30 am until Mass time at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the St. Jude Society at St. Mary Magdalen Church are appreciated.
