Amanda “Dottie” Comeaux passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, March 19, 2017 (St. Joseph’s Day) at the age of 93. Dottie was born in New Orleans and resided in Metairie for the past 66 years. Daughter of the late Elliott L. and Oneida Mire Comeaux and sister of the late Elliott, Jr., “Bumps”, Jerry, Lynn, Sr., Estelle and Ida Mae. Dottie retired from Sears after 29 years of service and was a lifelong parishioner of St. Christopher the Martyr Catholic Church. Lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law, Lois, nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Christopher the Martyr Catholic Church, 309 Manson Avenue in Metairie, LA. Visitation will begin at the church at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in LakeLawn Park and Mausoleum.
