Rita Cavalero Meyer

Rita C. Meyer went to her eternal home on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at the age of 81. She was a lifelong resident of Metairie, LA. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 40 years Emil H. “Dobie” Meyer, Jr., her parents August Cavalero, Sr. and Loretta B. Cavalero and her brothers August Cavalero, Jr., John Cavalero, Joseph Cavalero and Anthony Cavalero. She is survived by her four children, Katherine Millican (Clay Upton), Theresa Olasin (Kevin), Robin Woodall (Steve) and Melissa Meyer, and her six grandchildren, Kimberly Woodall, Ryan Woodall, Steven Woodall, Daniel Woodall, Megan Olasin and Morgan Olasin. She is also survived by her sisters, Loretta Phillips, Mary Cavalero, Patricia Hera (Bob) and her brother James Cavalero (Linda) and her niece Lorrie Wallace (John), whom she raised along with countless other nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA and the visitation will begin at 9:00 am until service time.
