Marvin Leroy Roberts

Marvin Leroy Roberts passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, September 21, 2018 at the age of 80. He was born on January 24, 1938 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Leroy and Mary Roberts. Beloved husband of Nancy Ann Midkiff Roberts for 60 years. Loving father of Miland Matthew Roberts (Sandra), April Marie Roberts Kippers (Ronald), Danny Roy Roberts (Debra), and Derek Allen Roberts (Karen). Proud grandfather of Ronald Kippers, Jr., Carrie Kippers Bruno, Ashley Roberts Power, Kristin Roberts Bass, Samantha Girouard Bilbo, Sadie Roberts, Salina and Sabrina Roberts, Alexis Roberts, Derek Allen Roberts, Jr. and 11 great-grandchildren. Brother of Rosanna Roberts, Phyllis Roberts Swopes, and the late Miland Roberts. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Marvin was a former resident of Indianapolis, IN, Kenner, LA, Troy, AL, Ozark, AL, and Houston, TX and was a current resident of Dothan, AL. He was a long time employee of Simplex Time Recorder Co. and Troy University and was a volunteer fire fighter when he lived in Kenner, LA. He served in the U.S. Air Force where he studied electrical engineering until he was honorably discharged.
