Laurie Fuchs Bercegeay

Laurie Fuchs Bercegeay passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at the age of 50. Laurie was a native of New Orleans, LA and was a resident of Metairie, LA since 1973. She was preceded in death by her father, Peter William Fuchs, Jr. , her maternal grandparents, Thelma B. Thiery and Edward M. Thiery, Jr. and her paternal grandparents, Vera H. Delaney and Peter W. Fuchs, Sr. Laurie is survived by her beloved husband of 30 years, Guy Jerome Bercegeay, Sr., her children Guy Jerome Bercegeay, Jr., Kayla Corinne Bercegeay and Megan Elise Bercegeay, her mother, Elise Thiery Fuchs, her sister, Kristine Fuchs McCluskey (James) and her godchild, Jackson McCluskey. She is also survived by many close in laws, nieces and nephews, cousins, and countless friends. She was a graduate of St. Edward the Confessor Catholic School and Archbishop Chapelle High School Class of 1985. She worked in retail all of her life, having worked for Chess King, Eddie Bauer, Cache, J. Crew and lastly, Brighton Collectibles in the Lakeside Shopping Center as manager (the BOSS) for the past nine years. She loved her job and her "work family", whom she shared many laughs with over the years. 
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA. The visitation will begin at 11:00 am until service time, and interment will be private.
