Kathleen Tassin

Kathleen Rabalais Tassin passed away peacefully on Monday, May 21, 2018, at the age of 71, surrounded by her loving family at her home. 
 
Kathleen was a longtime resident of Luling and was a longtime employee of Union Carbide/Dow Chemical as a medical dispensary secretary. 
 
Kathleen was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother.  She will be missed and remembered by her love of being a mother, her sense of humor, and her love for cooking and collecting cookbooks. 
 
Daughter of the late Harvey Rabalais and Jacqueline Ducote Rabalais. She is survived by her children, Shannon Tassin (Kristin), Stefan Tassin (Katie), and Justin Tassin (Rebecca) and grandchildren Abigail, Sarah, Hannah, Lucas, Lauren, Lainey, Ashlyn, Megan, and Brylee; She is also survived by her brother and sisters: Ellen Bryant (Gilbert), Marty Rabalais, Patrick Rabalais (Delores) and Susan Duplantier (Thomas), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
 
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA, beginning at 9:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. 
 
Interment will take place in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
