Katherine Charrier

Katherine Spano Charrier was born in New Orleans, LA on February 16, 1923 to the late, Anthony and Rose Spano. Katherine passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022 with her daughter and son in law by her side. She attended St. Joseph Academy High School and spent her career working at A & P, retiring as an Assistant Manager. At her leisure, Katherine loved to go to the casino and play the slots. She is survived by her daughter, Jo Ann Kiernan (Francis J. Kiernan) and numerous nieces and nephews. Katherine is preceded in death by her siblings; Nancy Howe (Late, Carl), Mamie Hammack (Late, Andrew), Anthony Spano (Late, Mary), Joseph Spano (Late, Maria).
Funeral services will be held at Garden of Memories Funeral Home and Cemetery 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, Louisiana 70001 on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. Visitation hours are from 9:00 am – 11:00 am with a Funeral Mass beginning at 11:00 am. Burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery to follow.
