Karen deLeon

Karen Christianson deLeon passed Thursday Nov. 8th. 

Karen was born to Louis Christianson and Marijane Fritz, June 28th 1941 in New Orleans, La. She graduated from East Jefferson High School. She married Sidney Joseph deLeon, and they lived together in Kenner, La where they raised two children.

She leaves as her legacy two children Sidney Joseph deLeon IV, Kenner and Louis Scott deLeon, Ocala, Fl. She also leaves to cherish her memory one sibling Pamela Olivier Scruggs, Metairie, La. She is also survived by her only Granddaughter, her "Baby Girl" Hayden Grace deLeon.

Karen was a Respiratory Therapist for over 30 Years and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people. She will be remembered for her tough nature and resilience.


A funeral is scheduled for Friday, November 16, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at Garden of Memories Funeral Home 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA.  The family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Marion County Florida http://www.hospiceofmarion.com/contact.html.
