June Elizabeth Boone

June Elizabeth Twilbeck Boone passed away surrounded by her family, on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at the age of 88. She was married to the late, Cecil Raymond Boone for 67 years. She is the daughter of the late, Eugene and Agnes Lowe Twilbeck, mother of the late, Cecil R. Boone Jr. She is survived by her children, Robin B. Wilkes (David), Noel Joseph Boone (Lesley), Pamela B. Elfer (Wayne), Raymond James Boone (Nancy), and Mary Lynn B. McKinney (Tony). June had 13 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 6 step great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. As one of 13 children, she is survived by two brothers Raymond Twilbeck, wife Elaine and Edward Twilbeck, wife Dolly; preceded in death by siblings, Herman Twilbeck, John Twilbeck, Agnes Twilbeck Mendoza, Rita T. Rollins, Eugene Twilbeck, Vera Twilbeck Phaff, Calvin Twilbeck, Doris T. Grego, Noel Twilbeck and Robert Twilbeck. June loved her family and enjoyed cooking and sewing. She will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021, at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, Louisiana 70001, from 11:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with a service and interment to follow. Please note that due to the current State restrictions visitation is limited to a total of 150 and masks are required.
