Julian Francis Mascari

Loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Julian Francis Mascari, entered heaven on October 11, 2021, surrounded by his family.  Julian was a lifelong New Orleans resident, known for his passion for helping others. Not only was he a skilled carpenter with a successful construction company (Mascari’s Construction Company, 1985-2021), his faith and honesty truly set him apart. Julian spent his free time gardening in his backyard, renovating his daughters’ homes, hosting frequent family gatherings, and playing with his grandchildren. His most recent hobby was shooting guns with his sons-in-law. Julian was a devout Catholic who attended weekly Mass and adoration at St. Dominic Church, annual Manresa retreats, and he administered the Holy Eucharist to the elderly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Doris Mascari, his brother, Gregory Mascari, and his sister, Dawn Mascari.
Julian is survived by his wife of 39 years, Nancy Ney Mascari, his daughters, Rachel (Paul), Jamie (Chris), Reney (Lee), Goddaughter (considered a daughter), Mia (Christian), his twin sister, Julie (Nicole), his brother, Wayne (Gloria, Nicholas, Connor) and his trustworthy work partner, Mike Calico (Lisa).  He is also survived by grandchildren, the apples of his eye, Bryce, Ruby, Jack, Ryker, Baby LeBouef, and Baby Meeks.
Family, friends, clients, and the church community are invited to attend the visitation beginning at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 775 Harrison Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana 70124. A Funeral Mass will begin at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA.
