Juanita Butler Hammack

Juanita “Nita” Hammack passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at the age of 65. Beloved wife for 20 years to the late Donald A. Hammack. Loving mother of Andrew Hammack. Mother-in-law of Bethany Tassin Hammack. Mimi of Carter Hammack and Donivan Tassin. Daughter of Mamie Butler and the late James Butler. Sister of Billy L. Butler, Christine L. Butler, Martha Jean Trentacosta, and Sandra J. Butler. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Nita was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Waggaman, LA since 2006. She was a one of kind person, very family oriented, and loved gardening. She worked for Uptown Internal Medicine for many years and recently worked for Riverside Baptist Church Child Care. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Garden of Memories Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA on Monday, December 17, 2018. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am followed by the service at 1:00 pm with interment after.
