Jose Guillermo Salazar

Jose Guillermo Salazar, 89, native of El Salvador, proud U.S. and New Orleans citizen, passed to another life on November 5, 2018 at his home due to heart failure.  Wrestler, traveler, diver, pilot, mountain of strength, dog lover and adventurer at the core leaves behind children, Anabel, Guillermo, Corina and Carlos Salazar; grandchildren, Marcella Glaudi, Daniel and Michael Salazar, Corinne Grandpre, Brian Raymond, Jr., Maximus Beowulf Jones; and great-granddaughter Aurora Harbiston – all well-loved and thankful. Four step-daughters, Ana Deysi Murillo, Rosamaria Hernandez, Martha Olivas and Alma Raymond and in-laws, Stephanie Anders, Tracy Jones, and Hidovel Burke, who knew him well share in the loss with many others.  Memorial service to begin with visitation at Cabrini Chapel on Esplanade on Saturday November 10, 2018 at 10 am.  Instead of sending flowers, donations may be sent to www.cabrinihigh.com or www.islaimmigration.org in his name.
