John P. Chopin Jr.

John “Jack” P. Chopin Jr., age 70, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 18, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, John P. Chopin Sr. and Jeannette I. Chopin; brother, Anthony R. Chopin; and his grandparents: John B. & Hazel Chopin and Leonardo & Laura Cardenia Ingrivaglia. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law: Robert J. Chopin (Antoinette F. Chopin); nieces & nephews: Melissa Chopin Landry and Corey Richard Landry; Ashley Chopin LaBarre, Fraisse “Barry” LaBarre Jr., Kyle Joseph Chopin, and Grant Joseph Chopin; great nieces & nephews: Cori Rachelle Landry, Saraiah Grace Landry, Mercy Angel Landry, Katelynn Rae LaBarre, Nova Sky Mason, Ember Rayne Mason, and Seth Michael Falgout. He is also survived by numerous cousins: Joseph R. Chopin, Jr., Mary C. Steib, Patricia C. Pinero, Terence J. Chopin, Sr., Elizabeth C. Munch, Peter J. Chopin, John Vidacovich, Jill I. Hogan, Gae Lynn I. Cavalier, and numerous other cousins.

Jack was a life long resident of Jefferson Parish. In the 70s, Jack became a born again Christian and attended Lakeview Christian Center, River Ridge Assembly, and Faithful Word Assembly. He loved listening to his Christian music, playing pool, Christian fellowship gatherings, eating, and visiting with family and friends. Jack was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Celebration of Life Service at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA 70001 on Saturday, June 25, 2022. Visitation and fellowship will begin at 1:00 pm with food and refreshments followed by the service at 2:00 pm officiated by Pastor Carl Catalanotto, Jack’s lifelong friend.
