Jeannine Rome Covington

Jeannine Rome Covington passed away on June 28, 2022 at the age of 92. She was married to the late, Aubrey H. Covington for 69 years. Preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Rome and Annie Scanlan Rome; siblings Clarence ”Bud” Rome and Golda Rome Brookman. Jeannine is survived by her loving daughter, Jeannine Covington and numerous nieces and nephews. She was employed by South Central Bell, Southern Microfilm and John H. Carter Co.
Jeannine was a member of St. Angela Merici Parish and attended church every week. She enjoyed traveling, painting, sewing, crafts, cooking, shopping and gardening. She was an avid gardener with beautiful gardens year round and was also a great cook. Jeannine was a dedicated wife and mother.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive. Metairie, LA. 70001 on Tuesday July 5, 2022. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM with a service at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow immediately thereafter at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
