Gregory Michael Guillory

Gregory M. Guillory passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018, age 61, at his home, surrounded by his loved ones, after a difficult battle with ALS. He is survived by his adoring wife of 38 years, Joyce, his loving daughters, Shannon Clutterbuck and Michelle Scott, son-in-law Joshua Scott, and two beautiful granddaughters, Lily Grace and McKenna Rose. He was the son of Deanna and the late Mason Guillory, brother to Sheila Scallan and Mitchell Guillory (Renee), nephew to Irma Firmin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Gregory was extremely dedicated to both his family and his job. He was employed by AAA, as a fleet driver for many years. When he was not working, he loved spending time with his family, his dogs Nyla, Meme, and Daisy, and his cat, Peenu. He also enjoyed relaxing by his pond. On game days, Gregory could be found sitting in front of the television cheering on his beloved New Orleans Saints. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.

Gregory’s family would like to give a special thank you to Karen and Jesse Scott, Jimmie Lee, Dr. Stephen Kantrow, Ochsner ALS Clinic, The Gleason Foundation, and Guardian Angel Hospice. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial mass to honor his life on Friday, September 21, 2018 beginning at 11:00 am, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church at 13396 River Rd, Destrehan, LA 70047.
