Geraldine "Gerry" Cambre

Geraldine (Gerry) Strain Cambre passed away peacefully on September 11, 2021, just shy of her 88th birthday (September 17).

She is survived by her children Sandra Hinrichs (Harold), Peggy Kirby (Lou), Lloyd Cambre (Veronica), Jerry Cambre (Carol), Jane Clement (Carey), Trudy Barbier (David), and Judy Boraks (Pete); 23 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister Gail (Larry); daughter-in-law Maurice; and sister-in-law Hazel.

She is predeceased by husband Lloyd Cambre, sons Perry Cambre and Randy Cambre, great-granddaughter Jolie, companion Donald Jones, brother HJ Strain, sister Alba Savana (Joe), and parents Henry and Lola Strain.

Gerry loved chocolate, board games, computer games, and bingo. Mostly, she loved being around her family, especially her grandchildren to whom she will always be MawMaw. She had a keen sense of humor and huge heart. She will be sorely missed.

The family is grateful to the staff and friends at Heritage Manor for providing her a caring home for the past five years.

Visitation Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 11:00am-1:00pm and service at 1 at Greenwood Funeral Home, followed by interment at Garden of Memories. Masks mandatory to prevent spread of COVID.
