Gary Curtis Broostin

Gary Curtis Broostin, a resident of Harahan, LA and Jefferson, LA, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at the age of 71.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Broostin and Shirley Apffel Broostin.

Gary is survived by his loving sister Janice Gardner; beloved family friends, Patricia Mumfrey and Ornald Mayer; aunt, Millie Deibel; cousins, Bruce Meyers (Mary), Barry Meyers, D.J. Meyers, Jimmy Turner, Henry Parker, John Lewis, Rick Lewis, James Fontenot and Mike Barto.

He was a graduate of Riverdale High School, attended UNO until he began working, at the age of 19, for the USDA in the payroll department until his retirement.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2021, at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, Louisiana 70001, from 10:00am until 11:00am.
