Frank C Trapani

Frank Charles Trapani passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the age of 92 at his home in Metairie. Beloved husband of 46 years to the late, Joyce Terese Trapani. Survived by his loving children, Rickey Trapani (Sharon), Gail Radosta (Glenn), Jackie Barbara (Jody), Late, Charles Trapani (Rebecca), Frankie Trapani, Terry Trapani (Cheryl) and Joyce Laborde (Tee). Frank had 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Predeceased in death by his parents, Charles Frank Trapani and Sarah Pressner Trapani; siblings, Late, Audrey Logas and late, Charles Trapani Jr. Also survived by his sister, Leah Picou and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Frank was a navy seaman, discharged due to injuries. After a year of physical therapy he worked as a mechanic at Greyhound Bus Lines. Retiring after 35 years. He then drove tour buses where he enjoyed meeting people.
Having seven children there was never a dull moment in his house. He loved watching his sons play football. He loved bowling and received many trophies from 1968 until 2006. After bowling on Friday nights we would all climb into the station wagon and drive to the house in Mississippi. Dad loved to dance. Mom and dad attended many costume parties dancing the night away. He hated cold weather and spent most of his summers taking care of the pool having friends and family over to swim. He also spent lots of time refurbishing old fans, making them look like new again. He was proud of his truck, always making sure it looked good. His family BBQ’s and holiday fireworks will never be the same without him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA. 70001. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM with a Service at 2:00 PM. Interment will be immediately thereafter.
