Edith S. Trahan

Edith S. Trahan passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Dennis C. Trahan Jr. for 62 years. Mother of Denise Chifici (Gasper), Donna Trahan, Rhonda Bossart (Brent), Jan Gourgues (Keith) and Dennis C. Trahan III (Leslie). Grandmother of George Cruso, Chris Cruso, Amy Chifici, Ellen VanWagener, Blair Bradley, Brandon Gourgues, Paige Bossart, Chad Gourgues, Mary Katherine Gourgues, Brynn Bossart, Nicholas Trahan, Philip Trahan, Dylan Gourgues, Ian Gourgues and Connor Gourgues. Great-grandmother of Daniel, Joshua, Emma, Pierce, Cade, Celeste, Harlan, Kai and Charlotte. She was the daughter of the late Ignace Stansbury and Gertrude O'Neil. Sister of Elaine Liebel, Terrence O'Neil, Audrey Lillis and the late Delores Stansbury.

Edith was a resident of Metairie, LA and a longtime parishioner of St. Edward the Confessor parish. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation on Friday, June 25, 2021 at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA from 9:30 am until 11:30 am followed by the procession to St. Edward the Confessor Church, 4921 West Metairie Avenue, Metairie, LA for the Funeral Mass at 12:00 pm. Edith will be laid to rest with her husband in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
