Doris M. Smith

Doris M. Smith passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at the age of 82. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Louis J. Smith, Jr.; her children, David P. Dillenkoffer and Darlene D. Savarino; her parents, William J. Villemez and Josephine Marino; her sister, Lorraine Weidenbacher; and a nephew, Keith Weidenbacher.
She is survived by her son and his wife, Michael W. Dillenkoffer, Sr. and Cindy Dillenkoffer; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; her brother, Raymond Villemez; and her niece and nephew, Joey and Jennifer Villemez.
Doris retired from Grinnell Fire Protection and served on the St. Joseph Alter for many years. She enjoyed cooking for her family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Graveside Service at Greenwood Cemetery, 5190 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124 on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 11:00 am. Arrangements are under the care of Garden of Memories Funeral Home.
