Donald Duane Chilton Sr

Donald Duane Chilton Sr. passed away on June 14, 2022. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 44 years, Sandra Louise Chilton; his parents, James and Opal Chilton and his siblings: Johnny and Burley Chilton. He is survived by his two sons: Don Chilton Jr. (Annette) and Ronald Chilton (Jill); three grandchildren: William (Meredith), Brandi (Noah) and Hunter; two great-granddaughters: Amelia and Braylee; his cousin, Phyllis; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and his dog, Alex. Don was born in New Madrid, Missouri and was a resident of Destrehan, Louisiana for 58 years. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army stationed in Germany during his tour of duty. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and member of the I.U.O.E. Local 406 Union. Don was a jack of all trades who enjoyed fixing things, helping others, boating and hunting.
