Clyde Ernest Mockbee Jr

October 27, 1936 ~ April 8, 2018 (age 81) 81 Years Old

Tribute

Clyde E. Mockbee, Jr. age 81 years. Preceded in death by his parents Clyde E. Mockbee, Sr. and Daisy Mockbee. Survived by his beloved wife of 61 years Carol (Giovanna) Vella Mockbee, his daughter Debbie Majeau, son-in-law Marcel Majeau, brother Warren Mockbee, Sr, brother-in-law Anthony Vella, nephew Warren Mockbee, Jr. and niece Melissa Ricker.

Also survived by his very special friends May and Clinton Boyle, and Bert and Carolyn Bizette.

As per his expressed wishes, there will be no memorial service or funeral arrangements. So the family asks that you remember him by thinking of something that he may have done to make you smile, or especially laugh, as he had an amazing sense of humor. This is how he wanted to be remembered.

Carol would like to express her heartfelt thanks for the prayers, love and support from "the girls" and friends at the mall. Also Claire Griffin, Elena O'Banion, Cheryl Denney and Linda Stringer.

Debbie and Marcel would like to express their deepest gratitude to their dear "Friends sticking closer than a brother" (Proverbs 18:24). All of you know who you are. Countless texts, phone calls, prayers have all been received with love. Brothers and sisters who listened and supported us while we wept. Dear brothers who prayed with us, some of you from as far away as New York, have left us with gratitude and love difficult to express. So we will quote the words that one of you dear ones said in a prayer on the evening of March 31st. "There are no words". We so long for the time when Revelation 21:4 is fulfilled "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes. And death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."

The family would also like to acknowledge the kindness and support of dear neighbors, Mark and Bonnie, who have been a source of friendship and support for 20 years. Always ready to assist and always right there to help.
He always looked out for you and your precious girls. Also Marguerite for your support, kindness, and sweet gifts. Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA is handling the arrangements.
