Brenda Ann Reiser Delaune was surrounded by her husband and children when she was welcomed into heaven on January 18, 2023. Brenda was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who had a huge heart and would never hesitate to help someone in need.
Born in New Orleans, Louisiana on August 10, 1942, she lived most of her life in New Orleans and the surrounding areas. She was married to her sweetheart, Glen, for over 43 years. Throughout her life, she enjoyed many hobbies and activities, including spending time with her children and grandchildren, going to the casino, cooking, fishing and trawling, bowling, ceramics, cabbage ball, dancing, playing cards and computer games. She had an infectious laugh and was always down for a good time and loved her blueberry lemon drop martinis. She was a lovely homemaker, and in addition to being a Nana to all of her grandchildren, she was also a Nana to many children she provided care for as if they were her own.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Glen Delaune; her children, Kenneth Powers, Jr. (Lori), Stacy Lombardi (Jim), Alyson Carriere (Andrew), Faith Rognes and Brandy Delaune (Brandon); her grandchildren, Joey (Starlynn), Jason (Codi), Kenneth, Kelsey, Emily, Gabrielle (Dylan), Bailey, Evan, Maggie, James, William, Lilly and Elena; her great grandchildren, Austin, Ayden, Liam, Ashtyn, Anderson and Augustine; her siblings, Linda Marcum, George Reiser, Jr. (Debbie) and Wayne Reiser; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandson, Michael Troy Rognes; her father, George Reiser, Sr.; her mother, Beatrice Reiser; and her sisters, Jeanie Dugas and Beatrice Cowans. Brenda was an amazing and generous wife, mom, grandmother and great grandmother. She lived her 80 years well. We are heartbroken to say goodbye but comforted to know she is rejoicing in the arms of Jesus in heaven, completely healed and without pain. She was greatly loved and will forever be missed.
