Brady Austin Caillouet died on September 7, 2023 in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. He was 27 years old.
A native of Destrehan, LA, Brady was born August 23, 1996. He was a 2014 graduate of Destrehan High School and attended Louisiana Tech University. Brady served as an Air Reserve Technician in the U.S. Air Force from 2019-2023. He worked as an Avionics Specialist for C130J aircraft at Keesler AFB where he was tasked with maintaining twenty C130J aircraft, performing troubleshooting, repairs, overhauls, and training 12 Tradition Reservist peers.
Brady loved his family deeply, especially his two younger brothers who were his best friends. He treasured his family traditions which included family game nights, weekends with his Mimi and Grandpa, family dinners at his Maw and Paw’s house, trips to New York with his cousins, strategically planning and shopping with his mom, Mal and his Mandy on Black Friday, and countless holiday traditions. Brady enjoyed doing projects with his dad, he could build or fix anything. He was an avid vinyl record collector and had a deep appreciation for music, art, video games, and movies. He was witty, sarcastic, and brilliant. Brady valued every human who came into his life. When he became your friend you had someone you could count on unconditionally. He was a kind, giving soul.
He is survived by his parents, Brad and Sammi Caillouet; two brothers, Jake and Trey Caillouet; grandmother, Sue Smith; grandparents Brenda and Warner Caillouet; aunt Dawn Polledo (John); uncles Steven Smith (Monica), Stuart Smith, Warner Caillouet, Jr. (Gina), Keith Caillouet (Lori), Brett Caillouet (Karen), and Michael Guidry (Sophia); his cousins, who were like sisters, Amanda Smith (Brandon) and Mallory DiBenedetto (Anthony); and countless cousins and great aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Douglas M. Smith.
A remembrance will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4900 Airline Dr, Metairie, LA from 2:00-5:00 p.m. A private burial to follow at a later date.
