Billie Jean "Granny" Jenkins Maggiore

Billie Jean "Granny" Jenkins Maggiore passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, September 10, 2021. 

She is preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 67 years, Anthony "Pops" Maggiore, Sr., her parents, Cleveland "Dude" Jenkins and Della Boutwell Jenkins and brother, James Jenkins. 

She is survived by her children, Toni, Anthony, Jr. (Rita), Patti and Sandra Breaud; grandchildren Jennifer Vamvoras (Shawn), Lori Doucet-Alexander (Frank), Joel Doucet, Anthony, III (Brooke), Tyler Breaud and Nathan Breaud; great-grandchildren Amelia Alexander, Caleb Vamvoras, Shelby Maggiore and Sunnie Maggiore. 

Billie was retired from Ochsner Health System after 25 years of service.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, Louisiana 70119, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.  Please note that due to the current Parish restrictions a face cover must be worn inside the funeral home.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with a private burial to follow.  To offer condolences or send flowers please visit www.gardenofmemoriesmetairie.com.
