August Volz Jr.

August “Gus” Thomas Volz, Jr. passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the age of 75. He was the son of the late August T. Volz, Sr. and Rosella Dubea. Gus is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Connie; his children, Melissa Volz Conrad and Ryan Thomas Volz; grandchildren, Aidan Christopher Conrad and Heath Thomas Conrad; sister, Margaret Volz Thompson Escalada (Louis), and his nephews Jeffrey Thompson (Susan) and Stephen Thompson.
Gus was a lifelong hunter and fisherman who truly loved the outdoors. He also took great pride in cooking, entertaining and making memories with his family and friends. He worked as a salesman in the electrical industry for over 30 years. Most recently, for the past 5 years, he worked in customer service at All Saints Pharmacy.
Family and friends are invited to attend a catholic memorial service on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 11:00 am with visitation beginning at 9:00 am. Services will be held at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, located at 4900 Airline Dr. in Metairie.
