Allen Joseph Tregre

Allen Joseph Tregre of Bridge City, Louisiana passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday night, November 6, 2018 at the age of 71. Born August 8, 1947 in Vacherie, Louisiana to Melodie Dempster Tregre and the late Herbert Joseph Tregre.
Allen is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Carrie Jane Tregre; along with his daughter, Bridgette Tregre-Stoltz, and her husband, Glynn E. Stoltz; his son, Joey Allen Tregre, and his fiancée, Cindy Hebert; and granddaughter, Gianna Aline Tregre.
Allen was a Navy Inspector at Avondale Shipyards for 29 years. He served his country in Vietnam in the U.S. Army. He was awarded a Bronze Star and a Presidential Award.
In his spare time, he enjoyed crabbing with his wife Carrie Jane, along with hunting, fishing, and helping people. Allen was also the Treasurer of "The Over Seas Club".
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA. Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon with a Service at 12:00 noon followed by interment.
