Alice "Augie" Moran Shields

Alice "Augie" Moran Shields passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the age of 81. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Anthony Shields; her parents, Mamie and Stout Moran; and 9 brothers and sisters. She will be missed by her husband of 59 years, Edgar "Mickey" Shields; her son, Michael Allen Shields (Samantha); her grandson, Michael Anthony Shields; her great-grandson, Michael Anthony Shields, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Augie was the owner and operator of Bridgedale Day Care and Tiny Tot Day Care. She dedicated her life to caring for children and spent many days spoiling and rocking children at the nursery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Garden of Memories Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA on Saturday, October 27, 2018. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am with a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM followed by burial. Online condolences may be offered at www.gardenofmemoriesmetairie.com.
