At the young Age of 50 our dearest Maribel of Brooklyn, New York, passed away surrounded by her loving husband, children & family Thursday night, April 11th, 2024, after a very long health battle.
She was the daughter of the late Carmela Medina and Jose Toledo.
Maribel is survived by her son, Christopher Moore, daughter Jasmine Funez, Stepson David Gomez and her grandsons Dillon & Daxton Krantz. Three siblings, the late Ana Avila, Angel Pineda (Marlen), Carlos Zuniga and a host of other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Maribel is also survived by her nephew Miguel Gutierrez, her Niece Ana Ainsworth and nephew Marvin Gutierrez in which she grew up together as siblings.
Maribel went to Alfred Bonnabel High School and later worked in the Oil & Petroleum Industry. Maribel loved her family deeply and always said she would live her life the way she wanted to.
Family & Friends will be received Saturday April 27th, 2024 11:00 a.m - 12:00 p.m. at Garden of Memories FUNERAL HOME, 4900 Airline Dr in Metairie, Louisiana.
Service at 12:00 p.m. led by Maribel’s nephew Miguel Gutierrez of The New Orleans Church. Interment to follow: Garden of Memories Cemetery
A la temprana edad de 50 años, nuestra querida Maribel de Brooklyn, Nueva York, falleció rodeada de su amado esposo, sus hijos y su familia el jueves 11 de abril de 2024 por la noche, después de una larga batalla con su salud.
Era hija de la fallecida Carmela Medina y José Toledo. A Maribel la sobreviven su hijo Christopher Moore, su hija Jasmine Funez, su hijastro David Gomez y sus nietos Dillon & Daxton Krantz. Tres hermanos, la fallecida Ana Ávila, Ángel Pineda (Marlen), Carlos Zúñiga y muchas otras sobrinas, sobrinos y primos.
A Maribel también la sobreviven su sobrino Miguel Gutiérrez, su sobrina Ana Ainsworth y su sobrino Marvin Gutiérrez, con quienes creció juntos como hermanos.
Maribel fue a la escuela secundaria Alfred Bonnabel y luego trabajó en la Industria del Petróleo. Maribel amaba profundamente a su familia y siempre dijo que iba vivir su vida como ella quería.
Familiares y Amigos se recibirán el sábado 27 de abril de 2024 de 11:00 a.m. a 12:00 p.m. en Garden of Memories FUNERAL HOME, 4900 Airline Dr en Metairie, Louisiana.
Servicio a las 12:00 p.m. dirigido por el sobrino de Maribel, Miguel Gutiérrez, de la Iglesia de Nueva Orleans. Sepelio a continuación en el Cementerio Garden of Memories.
