Kathleen Mary Frank Piglia

Kathleen M. Frank Piglia’s spirit left her earthly domain on April 15th after a courageous 8 month battle with cancer. She passed in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her husband of 34 years and her 3 daughters.

Kathleen is survived by her husband Edward Piglia, Jr., her daughters Rechelle Diaz Brooks (Ed), Dana Diaz and Jessica Piglia, her grandchildren Claire and Cole Brooks, her mother, Rose Mannina Frank, her sisters Jeanette Frank Credo (Mike) and Rosemarie Frank Dominick, her brother, Joseph Frank Jr. (Pam), her sister-in-laws Ellen Piglia White (Edwin), Nancy Piglia Thomas (Gerry) and her nieces, nephews and countless friends.

Kathleen is proceeded in death by her father, Joseph Frank, Sr., her brother, Jeffery Frank, and her sister-in-law, Pam Piglia Kinamore.

Kathleen was born September 19, 1951 in New Orleans and graduated from F. T. Nichols High School in 1969. Kathleen worked as a legal assistant at various law practices including the New Orleans Bar Association. She retired from Chehardy Sherman Williams law firm after receiving her diagnosis.

Kathleen enjoyed various hobbies such as painting, sewing, crocheting, cooking, reading, being in nature and having a glass of white wine with her girlfriends. Nothing made Kathleen happier than when she and her entire family were together. The love she held for her family was immeasurable and to say that she was a selfless woman is an understatement. Kathleen impacted every person she encountered and will be deeply missed by her friends, family and all who knew her.

Upon Kathleen’s wishes, her celebration of life will be held at Rock ‘N’ Bowl on Wednesday, May 1st from 6:30pm - 9:00pm. In leu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice in Kathleen’s honor.
