Ruby “Meme” Majtan passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the age of 89. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Majtan; her parents, Zoe Vicknair and Sidney St. Martin; three brothers, Lester St. Martin, George St. Martin and Sidney St. Martin and one sister, Mildred St. Martin.  She was the devoted mother of Tammy Majtan and Linda Majtan Englade; mother-in-law of the late Richard Englade; grandmother of Lorie Englade Viola (Man), Dawn Englade Lobell (Cory) and Kim Englade (fiancé, Chris O’Brien) and great-grandmother of Jared Viola, Cameron Lobell, Kayla Lobell and Kourtney Burandt.  She is also survived by Fay Eschette, Jeanne Faucheux Hebert, the Bailey Street Crew, Paige O’Brien, Karah Duplessis as well as a niece and nephew.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 11:00 am at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA.  Visitation will begin at 9:00 am. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery. 
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the family to assist with funeral expenses or Masses are preferred.
