Ronald “Ronnie” J. Krummel Sr., owner of Ronnie’s Gutters and Home Repairs, passed away at home on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at the age of 61, following a short, but intense battle with dementia. Ronnie is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Elodie “Dere” Canfill Krummel; his sons, Ronald “Ronnie” Jr. (Natasha) and Ryan (Crystal); and his daughter, Melissa (Antonio). Pawpaw to Antonio, Trent, Braedon, Ronnie III, Avianna, Nicholas, Antonio Jr., Christian, Donaven, and Lulu. Beloved brother to Freddy, Diane, Robbie and Debbie. Brother-in-law to Cindy, Charlie, Pat, Earl, Karen, Michael, Terry, Neil, Bonnie, Pam, Mike, Danny, Joe, Drew, Donice, Denise, Tommy, and Kim. Preceded in death by his mother, Joyce, and his father, Frederick. A native of the New Orleans Irish Channel, Ronnie was a skilled sheet metal craftsman, who loved classic muscle cars, motorcycles, fishing, and being outdoors. A friend and father figure to many, Ronnie was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He will be well-remembered and deeply missed.
Friends and family are invited to attend the visitation on Monday, February 27, 2017 from 9am – 11am at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Dr., Metairie, LA 70001. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11am followed by interment in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
