Phillip Middleton Lynch, Sr., a longtime resident of Kenner, LA, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2017 at the age of 89. He was born in St. Louis, MO where he resided until 1945. The family relocated to New Orleans, LA where Phillip attended Loyola University until being drafted into the service. He became a pilot in the United States Air Force and proudly defended his country at the end of the Korean Conflict and the onset of the Vietnam War. After the war, Phillip was in the private aircraft business at Lakefront Airport for many years, although his true calling was building homes across the greater New Orleans area. He was a member of American Legion Post 377 and a parishioner of Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Kenner, LA. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Anita Roberts Lynch and his children: Christy Lynch Chauvin and her husband, Elvia; Phillip M. Lynch, Jr. and his wife, Joanna; Jean Lynch; Larry Lynch and fiancée, Cynthia Cannizzaro and Kelly Montegut. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Robert Hadlow, Andrew Hadlow, David Veltri, Taylor Lynch, Daniel Lynch, Connor Lynch and Vivian Montegut. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vivian Waugh Lynch and David Dillon Lynch along with his two brothers, David Dillon Lynch, Jr. and Daniel Aloyius Lynch.
A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Interment will be in the Chapel of Eternal Faith Mausoleum located in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
