Mario Fernando Boesch Sr. passed away peacefully on Friday, October 6, 2017 at the age of 83. He was born in La Ceiba, Honduras and was a resident of Metairie, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Amparo Garcia Boesch; his parents, Antonio Boesch and Lilia Collins Boesch; and his siblings, Madeline Boesch Gallardo, Antonio Boesch, Gloria Boesch McDaniel, Viola Boesch McDaniel and Marta Boesch Trosclair. The beloved father of Mario F. Boesch Jr. (Karen) and Vanessa Boesch Gonzales (Michael). Proud grandfather of Darian Gerard Boesch. Also survived by his siblings: Luis Boesch, Roberto Boesch, Lilia Boesch Erazo and William “Billy” Boesch, and many nieces and nephews. Proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Cold War in Germany and retired from McDermott International after 38 years as a Structural Draftsman. The family would like to extend their appreciation and gratitude for the wonderful care given by the devoted care givers at his home and to the nurses, care givers and staff at Inspired Living at Kenner. He will be greatly missed by family and friends as he was always ready to greet you with a warm smile and a good laugh.
A private service was held with burial at Garden of Memories Funeral Home & Cemetery in Metairie, Louisiana.
