Jessie Mae White–Williams
On February 4, 1941, a distinctive soul was born to the proud parents of the late Mr. Louis Theodore and Mrs. Cora Kenney White, whom they named Jessie Mae White in McComb, MS. She resided in Kenner, LA for over 63 years with Oakland Village being her primary home for 48 years. She entered into her eternal resting home on August 11, 2017, at the age of 76 at Ochsner Foundation Hospital in Kenner, LA. Jessie Mae leaves to cherish her loving memories her four daughters: Patsy Marie (Stafford) Jones, Alice Fay (Donnie) Nash, Sandra Dee (Eugene) Williams and Jennifer W. (Dale) Baxter; 10 grandchildren: Natalie Jones, Nicole Jones-Robertson, Megan Nash, Nadia Jones, Stafford Jones, Nina Jones, Brittany Guidry, Briston Guidry, Marcus Nash, Kurt (Tigga) Anderson; and 9 great grandchildren: Narquez, Ny’Jae, Darrielle, Ny’len, NeI’rae, Daryl, Jr, Nyja-Nate, Skye, and Cornell. She is survived by 3 brothers: Lewis (Ernestine) White, Jr., Theo (Jackie) White, and Sidney White; 2 sisters: Donna W. (Leander) Chaney and (baby sister) Shelia Ann (Ronald) Crouch and a host of in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her Father and Mother; husband of 33 years, James Williams, Jr.; 4 brothers: Rufus, Jesse, James, and Benny White; 1 sister, Brenda White; and host of in laws, nieces, and nephews.
All relatives, friends, co-workers and Oakland Village are welcome for visitation on Saturday, August 19, 2017 for 12:00pm-12:45pm at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm and burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. A repass will follow at Kenner Lions Club, 2001 18th Street, Kenner, LA.
