Georgia Reet Hudson Armstrong passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of 51 years to the late William James Armstrong, Jr. Devoted mother of Rebecca Norton (Daniel), Gregory Armstrong (Vicki), Karen Sork (Michael), Sherman Armstrong, Julie Locock, Jennifer Jeansonne (Daniel) and the late William Armstrong, III and Katherine Meyer. Also survived by a sister, Ellen Askew; 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martha Reet Ham Bible and George Washington Hudson along with two sisters, Doris Rodriguez and Laverne Smith. Mrs. Armstrong was a longtime resident of Harahan and a retiree of Sears and Roebuck.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 11:00 am at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am. Interment will be in the Chapel of Eternal Faith Mausoleum located in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
