Elvia Panameno Reed passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 12, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Jose Maria Panameno and Maria Lagos. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Mario Mencia (Belinda), Rene Mencia (Lourdes), Lourdes Moradel (Raul), Daisy Rosles (William), Ricardo Mencia (Sara), David Laitano and Gabriela Laitano (Leonard Cline). She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 8 brothers and sisters, and a host of nieces and nephews. She was generous, full of life and loved to dance, caring for her garden, swimming, going to the casino and traveling the world. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 1:30 pm at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA and the visitation will begin at 10:00 am until service time. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
