Christine McClure Atwood passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017 at the age of 70. She was the beloved wife of Harry J. Atwood for 44 years and the mother of Leonna Truxillo (Mike) and Scott Atwood. She was the grandmother of Dan Lanier IV, Meagan Lanier, Vida Atwood, Nicklaus Atwood and Lexi Atwood and great-grandmother of Daniel Lanier V and Helen Lanier. She is also survived by her sister, Cheryl Lubow and two brothers, Michael Barrow, Sr. and Larry Hopkins as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Hughes Hopkins and Charles McClure and three brothers, Donny Hopkins, James Hopkins and Terry Barrow. Christine worked in the family business, A & H Armature Works, Inc. with her husband for 30 years. She loved all animals, but showed cats and had the best Himalayan in the world.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
