Anthony A. Oncale, Sr. passed away peacefully on Monday, December 11, 2017 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of the late Gloria Andry Oncale for over 50 years. Devoted father of Anthony A. Oncale, Jr. (Cheryl) and Judy Oncale Bourgeois (Gerald, Sr.). Loving grandfather of Larry S. Lagarde and Anthony A. Oncale, III (Amanda). Great-grandfather of Gavin, Adriana, Alexa, and Audra. Son of the late Sherfy and Ethyl Oncale. Brother of Mark Oncale, Patrick Oncale, Madeline Oncale Naquin, Mary Ellen Oncale Trout, the late Claude Oncale, and the late Rita Oncale Purcell. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Anthony served with the U.S Merchant Marines and the Louisiana National Guard. He was employed with Coastal Erection Co. for 25+ years.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until Mass time. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
