Anne Milda Marciante Smith, born in New Orleans, LA, on December 30, 1941, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 18, 2017. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Albert W. Smith, Sr., and her parents Anna L. and Anthony J. Marciante, Sr. For forty years she and her husband lived in Metairie, LA, caring for and entertaining neighbors, friends, and family alike. She is survived by her loving family: sons Albert W. Smith, Jr. and wife Susan, John J. Smith; granddaughter Christian Holliday Hebert and husband Tommy; grandson Anthony Smith; siblings Milda Young, Anthony J. Marciante, Jr. and wife Jeanne, Marilyn Marciante, and Rita Marciante; nieces Donna Simmons and husband Lynn, Wendy Young; nephew Kenneth Young, Jr. and wife Karol; great-granddaughters Alexa Rae and Kyle Elise Hebert (expected birth in October); great-nieces Taylor and Ava Young; great-nephews Benjamin Simmons and Andrew Young; brothers-in-law Henry Smith and wife Kathy, Eddie Smith and wife Darlene, Donald Smith and wife Pat, and Walter Smith and wife Elizabeth; all other cousins, friends, and family members who loved her. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Driver, Metairie, LA and the visitation will begin at 12:00pm until service time.
